- Look for a monofilament recycling bin at a nearby boat ramp, marina, fishing area, or local tackle shop
- If no bin is available, cut the line into pieces 6 inches or shorter before throwing it away, so it's less likely to entangle wildlife
- Never leave loose fishing line on the ground or in the water
