Toys & Games

Old toys and games generally aren't accepted curbside, mixed plastics, electronics, and batteries make them unsortable. Hasbro's official recycling program, run through TerraCycle, accepts Hasbro-branded board games, plush toys, electronic toys, action figures, dolls, and plastic/wood/metal toys for free, with batteries removed first.

Curbside recycling?

No

Not accepted in curbside recycling, mixed materials (plastics, electronics, batteries, fabric) aren't sortable that way. Donate a working toy, or use Hasbro's free mail-in program for Hasbro-branded items.

Safety note

Remove any batteries before shipping or disposing of an electronic toy, see our battery guide for how to handle those separately.

How to prepare it

  • This program is brand-specific to Hasbro, collect at least 7 lbs, sign up for a free TerraCycle account, and request a free shipping label
