Recycling & Disposal in Dallas, TX
The City of Dallas Sanitation Services department runs curbside recycling plus a landfill and three transfer stations for bulky items, electronics, and yard waste, open to Dallas residents.
Dallas splits waste and recycling across curbside collection and four larger drop-off facilities. Curbside handles everyday recyclables and trash weekly. For bulkier items, electronics, scrap metal, and yard waste, Dallas residents can use McCommas Bluff Landfill or one of three transfer stations (Northwest/Bachman, Northeast/Fair Oaks, Southwest/Westmoreland), all free with proof of Dallas residency. Household chemicals, paint, and other hazardous waste go instead to the Home Chemical Collection Center, run by Dallas County (not the City) for residents of Dallas and 14 other participating cities.
TX also has state-specific programs, see the Texas state page.
